Bed bugs are a difficult pest to control, but we have made it easier! With our kits and step-by step instruction you can now control bed bugs without the need to call in a professional pest controller.

This kit is supplied with the much acclaimed Strikeback insect control step by step user manual and instructional DVD that is designed to help you coordinate a professional approach to your pest control problem to help ensure pests are controlled correctly and quickly. This reduces the need for repeated treatment which is good for you, your family and the environment.

The key to success in getting rid of bed bugs is to be extremely thorough. The following is a basic guide for the use of the products within the kit, the Strikeback manual and DVD is more detailed.

Step 1
Strip the bed and wash the bedding.

Step 2
Activate the Strikeback Insect Killing Foggers in the room. Two foggers are sufficient to treat bed bugs in a room that is approximately 3m x 2.5m, larger rooms will require extra foggers. The insecticidal fog gets almost everywhere and will kill any bed bugs it comes in contact with. In most cases fogging is only required during the first treatment, however, many of our customers prefer to repeat the whole procedure and use foggers during subsequent treatments; additional foggers need to be purchased to do this, and can be found below.

Step 3
Once the room has been fully ventilated, apply a fine mist of Strikeback Insect Killing Spray to the mattress, bed frame and the carpet ensuring every crack and crevice is inspected and treated. Be sure to test spray a part of hidden carpet first to ensure that the colours are not affected by the spray. Once dry the insecticide may be effective for up to 4 weeks.

Step 4
Apply Strikeback Natural Insect Killing Powder to areas where it is unsafe to apply the Strikeback Insect Killing Spray water based spray e.g.: electrical fittings. The powder can also be liberally applied under floorboards to provide a long term protection in a difficult access area.

Step 5
Repeat every 2-3 weeks until the problem is resolved.

Step 6
Use the Strikeback Natural Insect Killing Spray for ad-hoc spot treatments to known troubled areas during the period between treatments as described above.

Step 7
Apply Strikeback Natural Insect Repellent Spray to your body to protect from bites. Strikeback Natural Insect Killing Spray is an excellent repellent that can be used to repel most biting insects including bed bugs, fleas, midges and mosquitoes. As it is a 100% natural product it is kind to your skin, unlike repellents that contain deet.

This kit contains sufficient product for 3-4 comprehensive treatments for bed bug control in ONE average sized room, or 2-3 comprehensive treatments for bed bug control in TWO average sized rooms.

(It is perhaps worth noting that the products contained within this kit are also excellent at controlling most other crawling and flying insects including ants, flying ants, cockroaches, fleas, cluster flies and house flies.)

The Strikeback Insect Killing Fogger Smoke Generator, supplied in a 2-pack, is a great way to start controlling crawling and flying insect pests.

Once activated a Strikeback Insect Killing Fogger releases an insecticidal smoke that fills the room it is released in and kills most crawling or flying insect such as ants (especially flying ants!), bed bugs, cockroaches, dust mites, fleas, flies, moths and wasps etc.

The concentration required for effective insect control is different for each pest and should be applied at a rate of one generator per:

120 m3 for flying insects
30 m3 for fleas and carpet moths; or
7.5 m3 for bedbugs, ants, dust mites and cockroaches

A smoke generator is an excellent method to control Cluster Flies in a loft.

The use of a Strikeback Insect Killing Fogger is a professional way to get an immediate knock down of pest activity, however, once the fog has dissipated it ceases to be effective. For this reason, in most cases, a professional pest controller would also apply a residual liquid based insecticide treatment as this offers a longer lasting insecticidal protection that kills any of the pests that are not killed by the fog. We therefore recommend that you complement your pest control treatment by buying a bottle of Strikeback Insect Killing Spray which is the best water based insecticide we have tested and one of the most powerful an amateur user can buy - once sprayed it can be effective for up to 4 weeks.
